Twenty Nine Truckers Ready for MIS
[Sun Prairie, WI] The truckers of the Midwest Truck Series are ready to roll into Madison International Speedway this Sunday for the Annual Joe Shear Classic. Twenty nine Midwest Trucks are expected to roll through the gate for Race 2 of the 22 Season.
Leading the way into Madison is hometown driver Chester Ace. Madison International Speedway has been good to Chester and his team as he leads all active drivers in Wins at the Wisconsin half mile with 4. Ace has one two of the last three races with the Midwest Truck Series dating back to last year and currently holds a slim 1-point advantage over Kevin Knuese. Knuese has two wins at MIS to his name while series veteran James Swan is usually up front as well. Swan sits second in all times wins (in the modern era) at Madison with 3 and is the series last winner the last time the Midwest Truck Series raced at MIS back in August.
James Lynch and Christ Blawat sit third and forth in the points standings and are both making another trip to Madison. Both have shown speed on the bigger tracks and look to carry the momentum from the Icebreaker with them. Clutch Energy Rookie of the Year contender Kevin Zielezinski currently sits fifth in the standings and is making a name for himself in his quest for the Rookie Championship. Also has been quietly around the front on the bigger tracks showing speeds at the Madison (10th) and the Milwaukee Mile (10th) in 2021.
You can catch all of the action live this Sunday at Madison International Speedway when we join the ARCA Midwest Tour and the 602 Outlaw Late Model Tour. Tickets are available in advance at https://misracing.com/tickets/ and the race will be broadcasted live on Midwesttour.tv.
