Big Crowd, Big Truck Counts, Dixieland Delight is Set.

As anticipation for the Belgard Paves the Way Dixieland Delight 35 grows, the stars of the Midwest Truck Series are set to take on the famed 1/2 mile D Shaped oval in Kaukauna, WI. Last season fans were treated to a battle between a champion and a rookie when Bryce Miller and James Swan went toe to toe at in front of an estimated 5000 fans. The statement win for Miller proved he was a threat to content for the title.

With 68 points separating the top 4 it will be important for drivers like Tristan Swanson, Chester Ace, Miller, and Swan to have a strong showing. However, the entire field has been close in the first 8 races with 4 drivers picking up a victory during the season with Swanson and Swan the only ones with multiple wins (3). Chester Ace sits second, 50 points behind Swanson, looking for that first win on the season. For Ace, 10" is the difference between 0 wins, and 2 wins. After losing to Swan by 4" at the Milwaukee Mile, a late race caution flew at Marshfield with Swanson crossing just before Ace on the last completed lap giving Swanson control of the start and ultimately the victory.

Veterans such as Brent Kirchner, Danielle Behn, Kenny Joosten, Danny Darnell have all shown speed on the bigger tracks and look to lean on experience on the 1/2 mile. Looking to turn things around Bradley Gajewski and Jerry Brickner have a combined 1 top 10 between and will have their eyes set on a strong top 10. Brad Kossow, Kody Hubred, Trevor Raskie and Chris Blawat are no strangers to racing but all visit WIR for the first time in a Midwest Truck.

AJ Kreager looks to rebound after taking Jefferson off and has shown speed with 3 quick times awards so far in 2021. Making his debut with the Midwest Truck Series, Brad 'JJ' Mueller will be one to watch at the front of the field.

The story of the 2021 season has been the amount of Rookies joining the season. Cody Vander Loop rolls into Kaukauna as the driver with a ton of laps on the grounds, however, most of his laps have been on the flat 1/4 mile track with the Wisconsin Sport Trucks. Evan Hassler, Tyler Noble, James Lynch, and Phillip Wuesthoff will all be seeing Wisconsin International Raceway for the first time.

The Midwest Truck Series will be joining the ARCA Midwest Tour in support of their Gandrud Auto Group 250 at Wisconsin International Raceway.
